A little late, but here’s my thoughts on the Nintendo announcements.

• Online play becomes a reality with FIFA and Madden. About fricking time, although these aren’t the titles that “hardcore” gamers really want multiplayer. It’s a start though, and perhaps there’s a lobby/community system being developed for the games. We can hope.
• New Wii controllers: one you can shoot, and the other you stand on. The innovation of the Wii Remote is set to expanded by the first party. I could have used the Wii Zapper last night when at Scooters trying to play Splinter Cell Double Agent.
• Super Mario Galaxy out on November 3rd. SCORE! That’s one of the Wii-Vent ‘07 titles we want.
• Mario Kart (Wii). To be expected. Hope it’s better than Double Dash. That was a horrid game.
• The Check Mii Out channel. Am I Hot or Not for the Wii generation? Just wait till the Bagder army invades this one!
• 100 titles in the works for the Wii! Bloody norah! Yay! Although, I’d like to see what they are before selling off one of the kids to fund the future Wii habit I’m sure to develop.
