Forbes is reporting that Blockbuster is closing 282 stores to help streamline their business model. They’re going to consolidate the inventory in the stores to those that they’re keeping, but there’s probably going to be a lot of games and movies on sale while they get rid of the stores. I’ll report on it more as it occurs, but look out at your local stores to see if they’re doing a fire sale.

Flash Friday: Truck Zilla

Truck Zilla is an interesting take on the puzzle game genre. Using the supplied arrow blocks, you have to maneuver your truck around various screens to reach the EXIT sign. On your travels, you get to add power ups and additional skills to your truck. Overall, this is a very nifty time killer that will make you think and is forgiving when you don't get a screen right on the first try.

Flash Friday: Ultimate Flash Sonic

How Old Skool do you want to go? Sonic Old Skool? I have you covered with Ultimate Flash Sonic, a reasonably faithful remake of the original Sonic The Hedgehog game by SEGA. To hear the classic sound of Sonic collecting rings is to take me back in time to when my sister used to play this game every day for about a year - talk about knowing how to drive your family crazy.

Flash Friday: Bomb It

Cutesy Bomberman Clone Bomb It delivers multiplayer bomb-based action on your screen. You get to play one of the four cute male characters and blow up walls and each other to win.

A word of warning though: turn off the music. It’s very loud and very annoying. You can easily disable it from the main screen.
